If you feel your inner Witch calling you, then it may be time to embrace that side. It is not imperative that you must fall into a certain category, but one of these few forms of Witchcraft may resonate with you. On the other hand, you could be more of an Eclectic Witch. Being an Eclectic Witch like myself, I use a variety of different methods in my Craft.
With so many types of Witches out there, I have gathered a few in this blog that are some of the most common groups practicing across the world today.
So, which Witch are you?
SOLITARY WITCH:
A solitary witch is a witch who likes to practice their craft on their own. In previous years, witches were loath to reveal their faith to anyone & kept their beliefs & rituals a secret. Nowadays, Witchcraft/Wicca is more widely accepted so Solitary Witches have come out of the 'Broom Closet'. Although, Solitary Witches still do their Craft in Solitary, some still love to discuss their Craft with other like-minded people.
TEA WITCH:
In the name, these Witches love their tea. They use tea in their potion making, intentions, blending & infusing herbs as well as Tea Leaf Reading.
CRYSTAL WITCH:
Crystal Witches are passionate about their crystals, using crystals in their Rituals & Healings. If you ever meet a Crystal Witch, I bet you they will be carrying around a good handful of crystals in their bag, pocket or bra.
GREEN WITCH:
A Green Witch has a deep connection with Mother Earth & worships Nature Spirits. Like a Hedge Witch, Green Witches are into their herbal remedies & are often seen out in the garden, growing all sorts of plants. Chosen Deities vary from Witch to Witch, but above all, they have a deep respect for Mother Earth.
HEDGE WITCH:
Hedge Witches have a love for all things nature-based & use a variety of wild plants in their Rituals. Hedge Witches tend to lean toward spiritual workings. Healing, Meditation & Lucid Dreaming are all part of their Craft. Hedge Witches have a wide knowledge of medicinal herbs & plants.
KITCHEN WITCH:
Kitchen Witches are also referred to as Hearth Witches or Cottage Witches. They are amazing cooks and prepare the most delicious meals. They are renowned for infusing Magick into their recipes, reciting incantations and projecting their intention into each meal. They all incorporate their Magick into their daily chores, for example, sweeping away negative energies with their besom (broom) or using herbs & oils whilst cleaning.
LUNAR WITCH:
The Lunar Witch honours the moon & is a huge influence in their Craft. They live their life by the phases of the moon, planning their events & working each moon phase into everyday life. They love everything to do with Astrology & are fascinated with the outside world.
